Hexagon Shelves are always a brilliant addition as a wall decor. Although they might look difficult to make, believe me they are not. The formula is simple, its just the cutting angles that matter. First decide how long you want each side to be, normally, the width of the hexagonal shelf is equal to twice the length of one side. So that will help you decide on whether they will fit in the space you have.

Second, since its hexagon, the ends of each side will have to be cut to an angle, normally using a mitre saw. This can be achieved using a jig saw but you wont get an accurate cut. So since hexagon has got 6 sides, the ends have to be cut at 180/6=30 deg angle. You can then join them using glue and nail gun if you plan to place heavy items on them.

Fix a corner block to the top of both the table sides using screws and screw the top to the sides into the corner blocks.

Using a sander, sand all the surfaces to remove any sharp edges and splinters. You can then use some wood stain to give it a good colour and then coat it with beeswax to make it durable.

Although this looks simple, its a complex project as it involves a lot of routing work. The one in the picture has been done using an automated wood CNC machine like the one below

You can do it without a CNC machine using a hand router similar to below

To do this you will have to first print a template on a piece of paper and stick to the piece of wood. You will then have to use a hand router to remove wood as per the template. Once all the grooves have been routed, you can use a sander to sand and remove the paper stuck to this surface.

This will take some time to master as the hand router can be quite tricky to control.

You will have to cut the supports using a band saw as its quite an intricate shape. Alternatively you can just have a simple rectangular support.
